Mission Statement

At Duduza Care Centre, we are proud to be recognized as Palliative Care Champions in our district. Our services are delivered through our in-patient unit and Home-Based Care Services, forming the heart of our organization. We specialize in providing comprehensive pain and symptom control, aiming to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families facing life-threatening illnesses. Understanding that sickness and pain heighten stress and anxiety, we emphasize the importance of psychosocial interventions in our palliative care approach.

In addition to our palliative care services, we focus on empowering orphans and vulnerable children, offering them a safe haven and opportunities for a brighter future. Our skill development programs are designed to equip individuals with the tools they need to thrive, fostering self-reliance and confidence.

We also address the urgent need for stable housing through our housing initiative, helping to create secure and nurturing environments for those in transition. At Duduza Care Centre, we believe in the power of community and compassion to create lasting change. Join us in our journey to uplift and support the lives of those who need it most.

Caring for patients and their families

Our palliative care in-patient unit offers specialised support when curative treatments are no longer feasible, as determined by the patient, their doctor, or their family. Our primary goal is to enhance the quality of life by ensuring patients experience the utmost comfort and relief from pain.

In our unit, every effort is dedicated to making each moment meaningful and dignified. We focus on providing a supportive environment where patients and their families can find solace during challenging times. Our team of trained palliative care professionals are respected and trusted, and we are honoured to be a part of our patients’ journeys, offering care and compassion when it is most needed.
